Well, hello. So we drove from home (south Florida) to LA. That was fifty hours of pure van heaven. We went straight thru and the van didn't even mention it.
Arrived in time for a stop at motel 6. Which means showers and changed clothes. Got to the knitting factory and had some time to kill. Had a nice dinner with our friends in Augustana. Heard a peek of their new record. Soooo good.
Then back to the venue to meet up with Limbeck and the New Frontiers. Nice dudes. Good tunes. I think this will be a fun tour. They are all total sweethearts.
The first show was good. It was our first with a new drummer named Nathan from Knoxville. But needless to say we were muy cansado. So post show we went back and crashed. The second show was sooo much better. We felt like humans again since we got some rest. Both shows were sold out so apologies to anyone that didn't make it in. And thanks to you all who drove or flew a far ways to see the beginning of tour. Always great to see familiar faces. I am writing this in San francisco where we just spent a lovely day. Talk to you.

So Dustin and I are sitting backstage. He is trying to fix Nick's computer. Jeff is somewhere I am sure. Dan is too. Nick and Rob are setting up merch and I am supposed to be setting up guitars. But I feel so lazy right now. In other news, the album is out. The release date has come and gone. Thanks to all the friends and fans that went out/are planning to go out and get it.
Tonight is my second trip to play here at the Ryman. I love this place so much. It is my favorite venue. So much history. I got the Johnny Cash dressing room. The man in black. This is very cool.
I can't wait to play tonight. Well, more on that later.
Last night was amazing. Center Stage in ATL. The crowd was great. We have temporarily settled on a set that goes like this:

Hello.
Backstage in Atlanta waiting for sound check. Tour has been going so well! Thanks so much to all of you who have been so kind to us. Stayed with some friends in Winston-Salem yesterday. I watched 4 movies. It was a lovely, lazy day. Really looking forward to playing tonight. The day off has given me ants in my pants.
In other news, the album is out today. So now you can have what I have been working on for 3 years. It is exciting. Talk soon.

Last night we played Rams Head Live to start the tour with Dashboard Confessional. It was great to finally get the Sorry Vampire songs up and running live. We got the copies in and I think the artwork looks amazing. Jesse LeDoux. Amazing work (ledouxville.com)
